The Tahiti lime (Persian lime - citrus latifolia) is a fruit with a thicker skin and less aromatic than the subtle lemon. Its size can reach 6 cm in diameter. Less acidic flavor and color that yellows with maturity. The pulp is greenish yellow when ripe. High disease resistance and longer shelf life. There are no seeds.
The sutil lime (citrus aurantifolia) is a small fruit, 1 to 5 cm in diameter, rounded in shape and with a small nipple; thin and adherent shell, green to yellow in color as it matures. Very acidic and perfumed greenish pulp. Presence of seeds.
